Who is Ocean Ark Alliance?

Ocean Ark Alliance (OAA) are a global Not For Profit organization committed to coral reef conservation, focused on delivering open access marine science and education references, resources and marine programming. Founding members and development partners of OAA include world-renowned scientists, underwater explorers, filmmakers, marine artists, business leaders, physicians and health care professionals. What conservation projects are Ocean Ark Alliance supporting at the moment?

Ocean Ark Alliance are committed to coral reef conservation, education and science. Presently Ocean Ark Alliance are supporting several projects and initiatives.
‘Corals of the World – Legacy’ is an initiative dedicated to supporting the on-line hosting maintenance of Dr J.E Veron’s Corals of the World project. The Legacy project is committed to funding new expeditions to do base line surveys or unmapped reefs in globally significant areas and ongoing base line monitoring of reefs already surveyed. This information will be periodically updated into the Corals of the World databases, making this source one of the most important online global coral references in the world.
Other current OAA initiatives include the Neville Coleman Legacy Initiative
OAA are also supporting the $50,000 Ocean Acidification Art Challenge. Peter Hannan, one of the founding members of OAA and whose artwork is available through this Ocean Art Collection website, is funding $50,000 worth of school environment project and student study grants through an art competition for Victorian school students, with Ocean Acidification awareness as the major theme. What is a limited edition?

With regards to the photographic prints, a limited edition consists of 100 prints. Once that number is reached, a new photograph will be put in it’s place. Limited Edition prints for Roger Swainston are limited to his lifetime. Limited Edition prints for Kim Toft consist of a print run of 450.

Are there any delivery costs?

Shipping costs are calculated at the checkout, and determined by size weight and destination of the product. As a rough guide however nearly all of the photographic prints will cost $20.00 to deliver Australia wide. Kim Tofts Limited Edition Prints are $30.00 shipped Australia wide.

How will my print or Artwork be packed?

Your photographic print will be carefully packed in a tube with acid free paper, and delivered by registered mail. A matting and shrink-wrapping option is also available for the photographic prints, please email for a quote. The images are hinged behind a window mat using archival hinging tape and backed with acid-free fome core. Prints are then shrink-wrapped to protect against damage and express posted to your home. Original artwork may also be rolled in a tube with acid free paper, unless they are already mounted in which case it will be covered in acid free paper and then securely bubble wrapped with a protective outer cardboard shell. Canvas prints and original silk paintings will also be wrapped in this manner.

What is the delivery timeframe?

One week for prints and up to 10 days for Original artworks.

Can I get the artwork framed?

Yes, please email to discuss the framing of prints or original artwork.

What is the returns policy?

We generally do not give refunds if you simply change your mind or make a wrong decision. However you can choose between a refund, exchange or credit where goods are faulty, have been wrongly described, or are different to the product purchased on the website. Shipping charges are non refundable.

Is my transaction secure?

The Ocean Art Collection website uses SSL Encryption and all payments made are processed by the PayPal Payment Gateway which is highly reliable and secure.

What are the standard sizes?

The standard sizes for photographic prints are 12” x 18” 16” x 24” and 30” x 20” If you would like a print for a size outside those specified, please contact for a quote. With respect to Original Artworks and the available prints, they vary in size so please refer to the web pages describing the artworks, which contain the size specifications.

What about the quality of the prints and artwork?

The photographs are printed on Fujiflex Crystal Archive paper, which has the best archival qualities of any photographic material available. Fujiflex crystal paper is a silver halide colour printing material with the highest colour gamut that has a display life of 40 years when mounted under glass or acrylic. Kim Tofts Limited edition prints are printed on archival quality water colour paper.
